Rauw Alejandro

Despacito is a 2017 song released by Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi. It was the single that became the most streamed track worldwide within just six months. The single Despacito which was a mix of reggaeton and pop, not only brought new interest to reggaeton but also brought more attention to Latin music. Billboard's Top 100 included four mostly Spanish songs in 2016, and two songs in 2015. Despacito's popularity Despacito peaked in 2017. In 2020, 41 mostly Spanish songs will be included in the top 100. Following the time that Justin Bieber released his bilingual remix of Despacito in the year 2017, famous artists started to work with reggaeton performers. Drake and Bad Bunny were part of a team for the track MIA MIA (2018), while Madonna teamed up with Maluma on Medellin, 2019 Some reggaeton artists have criticized the shift to mainstream music in 2020. However, a brand newly formed group called Rauw Alejandro was determined to keep the development and growth of reggaeton. He incorporated electronic dance styles and others into his music.
