Alisyn Camerota

Alisyn Camerota is a journalist, an author and the anchor of CNN's morning show "New Day." She lives in Westport, CT, and was appointed to the Westport Country Playhouse's Board of trustees. Camerota, who has been journalist for more than thirty years, reported on news events across the globe and nationally. She won one Emmy Award in her early career for covering the arrest by Roger Stone and the Edward R.Murrow award when she reported the details of the hurricane Maria. Johnna G. Torsone from Stamford was named an honorary board member after serving on the board for more than seven year. Anna Czekaj Farber, who currently serves as chair of the Westport board having served as a board member since 2013, is an incoming board member. Czekaj-Farber succeeds Barbara Streicker of Westport, who has been the chair of the board since October of 2015 and has continued to serve on the board since 2006.
