Alison Krauss

Alison Krauss' first taste of fame as a fiddler came in 1990. She was only 19 years old when she was awarded the Grammy award in the category of Best Bluegrass Album. The third album of Krauss, I've Got That Old Feeling earned her the award despite the fact she was only 19 years old. Her debut album, Too Late to Cry came out when the Champaign, Illinois, native was 16years old. She had agreed to sign a contract with Rounder Records--one the most revered folk music labels in the industry--at the age of 14. Her achievements so young and her incredible virtuosity has always been in awe of her dedication to bluegrass. It is the most ancient and possibly the most neglected, of traditional American music forms. Krauss as young phenom had grown into a performer as well as a producer. Alison Alison Alison
